As Mahak's manager, he was the kind of intern who made me rethink how much impact a financial analyst intern could have on an organization. He developed a strong understanding of the core work required in corporate finance, including financial modeling, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, P&L management, monthly close and reconciliation, and financial management across multiple projects. He worked cross-functionally with budget owners to understand their priorities, analyze financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and help teams make better resource allocation decisions. Mahak asks the right questions and connects financial analysis back to the decisions our business partners needed to make.

Mahak brought a capability that was missing from the team. He helped develop our first AI-powered finance application, helped shape our Finance team's AI strategy, and presented his work directly to executive leadership. He learns quickly, communicates well with both finance and non-finance stakeholders, takes ownership, and is unusually comfortable operating in ambiguity. Mahak brings a rare combination of strong corporate finance fundamentals, business judgment, AI and automation capabilities, and initiative, and I would strongly recommend him for any financial analyst role. I would gladly work with him again.

While I didn't manage Mahak directly, I had the chance to see his work and impact closely through his manager. What always stood out to me was how much he genuinely cared about the quality of what he produced. He brings a strong work ethic, is always willing to put in the extra effort, and approaches problems with a lot of thought and curiosity. Mahak is also constantly looking for ways to make things better and more efficient, especially as we navigate the growing role of AI and automation in our work. He's smart, driven, and someone who clearly takes a lot of pride in what he does, and I'd be happy to recommend him to any team.
